A recorder or overlay crashes Luduvo
Luduvo crashed inside another program's file, not Luduvo's or your graphics driver's. Screen recorders and overlays hook into games like this.
What you see
The game closes at startup. crash.log names a file from another program's folder.
Who's affected
Confirmed with Bandicam installed. Other recorders and overlays are a guess.
Why it happens
Bandicam's Vulkan layer is the only confirmed case. Other overlays could do the same. unconfirmed
What to do
- Look at the crash line for the program's folder, for example Bandicam.
- Close that program, or uninstall it from Windows Settings, then start Luduvo again. Uninstalling Bandicam's layer fixed it for the player who found this.
Don't bother with
- Deleting files out of another program's folder. Uninstall it properly instead.
- Turning off your antivirus.
Status
There's a workaround, listed above.
How the Doctor spots it
It looks for log lines like these (patterns, not exact text):
^crash: exception 0x[0-9a-fA-F]+ at (?![A-Za-z]:[Ww][Ii][Nn][Dd][Oo][Ww][Ss])[^\r\n]*.dll+0x[0-9a-fA-F]+
